Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
  • 3 tablespoons reduced sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 3 dashes Liquid Smoke (optional)
  • salt and Pepper
  • 1⁄3 cup Water
  • 1 (14 ounce) package extra firm Tofu (sliced into 12-13 even slices)
  • 5 large Onions (yellow, red or white)
  • 5 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • salt and Pepper
  • 2 slices Ciabatta
  • 1 cup fresh Spinach leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Hummus (Greek olive)
